Background
The four short piano pieces that comprise the 'Loch Ard Suite' are dedicated to George and Barrie Meek, Richie Murray's parents-in-law. Elements of the music are intended to convey the joy of being on and around Loch Ard with them and other family members, especially during the late afternoons of long Scottish, summer days during the 1980s and early 1990s.
