Driving Theory - FAQ

Where can I find free theory test practice questions?

The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has publications designed help learners prepare for the Driving Theory Test.  They also have 'mock' theory tests that can be attempted online.  Some driving schools and insurance companies also offer online 'mock' theory tests or quizzes.  Gerry Brennan, at the-instructor.com, has compiled a list that includes some of the best.

My driving instructor has a pink triangle on the windscreen of his car. What does this mean?

Two types of badge are issued by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).  A green, octagonal badge shows the instructor is fully qualified and approved.  A pink, triangular badge shows the instructor is licenced under training and is not yet fully qualified.

Can the Highway Code can be viewed online?

Yes.  You can access the Highway Code on the DirectGov web site.
